Wow Time Flys!

In the bumbo...His new favorite place to play, under his bed...Well it's been awhile since I posted and this has to be pretty quick since I have alot to do today... I'm not sure how I get everything done staying at home... there is just so much to do to have a clean house and take care of one kid, well 2 if you count Scott:) Something I think how did I ever survive when I was working and then I remember that my house was never clean! We are working hard to try to always have the front rooms clean at least... as I say while there is stuff sitting everywhere. Oh well..

We had a wonderful trip to AZ at the beginning of the month. I was bad and didn't really take pictures. We enjoyed a weekend at a cabin with the whole family. It was great to have a vacation where Scott didn't have to worry about work, even if it was only for a few days. We then spent about a week in AZ with the family. We were excited to show Adam off to everyone, He was good and cute almost all the time, except when he decided to pee on people, sorry Lanae and Aunt Valerie! We also got to visit with Scott's Grandparents on the way home and they were so excited to meet Adam! We enjoyed the visit with the family and we think that we will be able to make it down at some point for the holidays and can't wait to see everyone again!

Since being home Adam has decided that it is time for him to start moving forward. He did it really good for the first time on Sunday Aug 22. He does a kind of army crawl/ scoot to move forward when he wants something bad enough. We still have some time before he gets fast, but I got the protectors for the plugs up today to keep him safe! So he can move like crazy between rolling and his crawl, but he still won't really sit up. We got him a bumbo to work on that and he likes it just fine. When I went to pick him up in the morning the other day he was kinda sitting up by himself. Not sure how he pulled himself up, or why he doesn't seem to like sitting up but we are working on that.

Other than that we are just hanging out and finally getting settled into a routine. Scott starts school this week and he is working really hard in his job. He loves his work and he better since he works way way way to much! It's okay, it just gives me lots of time to play with Adam, work on our house, and hang out with my mom. We have now stayed in one place for over a year, it's been a long time since we did that and we are loving it!

Time to clean up those floors

Adam is growing so fast. He loves sucking his fingers. Here is the two finger suck... he does this often, but he has also started to find his thumb, or his whole hand, or both hands, or the feet, or other people's fingers, or arms or anything that he can get to. Once I even caught him trying to stick both his hands and both feet in his mouth, but I wasn't quick enough to get a picture. We just know that everything goes in his mouth. Daddy gave him his first shoulder ride... but Daddy wasn't too happy with the presents that were left in his hair! Adam has even decided that he wants to help Mommy with her couponing... those were the expired ones... (I think I am finally organized!). I can't leave stuff on the floor too close to him, it won't be long before nothing is safe He is starting to try to get up on all fours and move around. He seems to have the legs down, but it can't put it all together yet. The other day we had him on the floor while we were eating and we see him doing this as he was trying to move... It took me forever to get this picture... But this is his head crawl! The head goes down and those feet get moving and his little bum goes straight up in the air! He was moving around yesterday like this at my Mom's and ran into her entertainment center and he just kept trying to move it with his little head! He will just move himself into a corner and then cry until we get there to bail him out! Sometimes he is not sure if he wants to be happy or sad but we sure love his smiles!

Other Adam moments:

He loves to be tickled. His favorite place is his neck or his tummy. If he is laying on his back all you have to do is laugh into his tummy and he will just giggle like crazy.
He sleeps so much! He will sleep about 10 hours at night, and usually take a few little naps, and often take about a 4 or 5 hour nap as well.
Adam is such a good little boy. He is great in his car seat when mommy is out and about. When he gets fussy I just strap him into his car seat and put the cover over him and he quiets down within minutes. When we put him in his crib at night he will usually cry for about 30 sec and then he just settles right down.
He is a very active little boy. He does not stay still unless he is really hungry or really tired. Once the main hunger is gone he will take a break from eating and check out everything in sight, especially if he hears or noise or mom is playing a video game. Then he will smile up at mom and have a quick snack before looking around some more, repeated several times. This often gets a little frustrating, but then he just smiles at me and melts my heart!
Adam pretty much always sleeps on his tummy now. We put him down on his back but when I go to check on him again he is on that tummy!
Adam is the happiest and most playful right after he gets fed in the morning. We will often hang out on Mom and Dad's bed for a little bit and play as a family, (when Mom isn't so exhausted that she falls asleep while she is feeding him). He is all smiles and laughs until it is time for that morning nap.
Adam loves the water, either shower, bath or pool. He is calm and happy while in there, even if he was a little grumpy before.

Goodman VIsit

Well I found the cord to hook my phone up to the computer so I can post my pictures real easy! I haven't been very good at using my camera, I just use my phone now... we will see how things go when we actually go on a vacation.... at least I'm getting some pictures...
There are so many other things that I should be doing right now, but I just don't feel like it... well at least you get to see some fun pictures!My sister's kids, the Goodmans came for a visit and we had a fun and busy week hanging out with them. We had a BBQ at my brother Dan's house and got to play on his new swing set, Adam got his first swing ride. We also got to have fun at Bridal Vial Falls, Far's Ice Cream, The Living Plant Aquarium, BYU, the mall( this is what Adam did while the girls were shopping), and at Grandma's. We had a great time and were so glad they came to visit!
