St George

Scott and I got to spent the weekend in St George for our anniversary.  My parents took Adam for the weekend and we enjoyed a weekend of sightseeing, shopping, eating, and relaxing.  We started the weekend with buying sunglasses for mom and dad.  At the dollar store we found some for Adam that matched Scott's.
When we got home Adam loved his glasses... he asks to wear them all the time now.
Daddy and Adam with their matching glasses.
Adam leaving to spend the night at grandma's.  He wanted to carry his own bag and I just thought it was so cute to watch him carrying his bag down the stairs.  He is so independent lately!

Sick Day

One day we woke up and Adam was acting sleepy and clingy.  We took his temp and it was 103.  We went to the doctor to make sure everything was ok and we got instructions to watch him and try to keep him cool.  We spent the day with cuddles and movies.  When it was time for mom and dad to watch a show we gave him our phone and let him watch his show on it.
Here he is as he was starting to feel better with his show on the phone... he is getting pretty good at watching shows and playing games on my phone... and asks for it fairly often.

Snowbird

My parents and grandparents spent a week this spring at Snowbird resort.  Adam and I decided to crash their party and we went up and spent the night there and go to play for 2 days.
Adam loved the swimming pool and the playground.
At the pool he enjoyed going back and forth from the baby pool to the steps in the big pool.  He knew just how deep he could go in the big pool.  Grandpa was great at following him back and forth between the pools.
We went up to Snowbird last year too, but then it was covered in snow.  This year there was much less snow and it was interesting to see the difference.  They put a new playground up, I think the snow was a bit heavy for it last year, and Adam had so much fun.  He LOVED the swing.
And the airplane and bounced around.
We can't forget the slides.
Or the rock wall to climb up with Great Grandpa keeping an eye on him.

Just relaxing in the swing sucking his fingers.
What a beautiful view.
While walking back we saw a squirrel like animal so we stopped to watch... it is in this picture, it just kind of blends in with the grass.
Driving home.  This little boy was so tired... it was hard for him to sleep in one big room with everyone else.   He fell asleep before we were out of the mountain... and at first that sucker was in his mouth while he was asleep... I just wasn't fast enough to catch it in the picture.

Tractor

The other day I tried to work in my garden....yes I tried and failed.  I got maybe 10 weeds pulled before I had to go and run after Adam.  First we went to see the horses that live in the field on the edge of the garden and we were there forever.
He didn't want to leave... until the tractor drove in.  It drove past the garden and stopped right at the edge of the garden and the field and Adam was fascinated to see it.
I'm grateful for a community garden so that I can garden right now... but I can't wait to have a yard of my own to garden in my own yard and not have to worry about Adam destroying everyone elses gardens.  He even has his own little truck to play with at the garden and that lasts about 5 min.  My mom is great to come and help me in the garden and we can often have Scott or my Dad take care of Adam.
Another time Adam and I took a walk around our neighborhood.  There is a section that is still under construction and Adam loved to look at that tractor too.  He had so much fun just looking at it.  Another time we went while it was moving and then sat watching it move dirt around.  I could only get him to let me move on by saying it was time for lunch and mac and cheese.  If we go for a walk he also stops to watch the people in the pool.  Our pool doesn't have a kiddie pool so we don't go there very often, but we do take him to 7 peaks water part and he loves it.
Adam also like to collect rocks.  Most times we go for walks we end up being at least 2 rocks home.  He loves to stop by water and throw rocks in.  He is a crazy little boy!

Swings

The family left in the early afternoon of Memorial Day.  Scott worked for a bit and then for the evening we went to the park as a family.
Adam loved the swing and the slide... it was hard to get him off.
He often throws a tantrum when it is time to move onto another activity... especially if it is time to stop playing outside, but we work through it and at least he has tons of fun while we are playing.

Sunday Walk

We took a Sunday walk and took the leftover bread to feed the ducks.  Adam sure loves the ducks and had tons of fun with Grandma.  We also checked out my garden and then Adam found the tire swing... it took awhile to get him home after that.

Bowling

Another thing that Adam loves is bowling and with Grandma and Grandpa here we decided to go bowling together and Adam loved it... it even did ok when it wasn't his turn... most of the time.  He loved using the ramp and we all took turns helping him.
DaNae helping get the ball in the right place so Adam can roll it down.
Grandma's turn to help
Watching the ball go down the lane
And hanging from the ramp... everything is made for hanging on or climbing up right
Grandpa's turn to help... Adam loved pushing that ball
He also liked the soda and pizza that we got, especially the soda...  At home we usually only have milk or water so this kid loves it when we gets juice or soda... and half the time he calls soda juice.
Daddy helping.  They decided to roll it down rather than use the ramp this time.
I just love this picture!

Around the House

There was a little bit of time each day during Memorial Day Weekend that we spent around the house and we sure had some fun.
Cuddles with Grandpa
Lots of wonderful gifts were brought up for our whole family and Adam sure loves his new train set!  We usually set it up without the raised part for now cause Adam struggles with getting the train up without knocking the whole thing over.
Sunday after church it was time for tickling and riding the horse around the house.
There sure were some fun giggles and playing going on.

Memorial Day Grave Visit

Every year for memorial day Scott's family comes up to Utah and they visit his Dad and brother's graves.  It is a fun family tradition to remember them and then to have some fun during the weekend.  This memorial day weekend was full of fun and lots of pictures so the next few posts will all be about that weekend.  Mom, Kevin, and DaNae drove in on Friday afternoon after spending the night in Vegas.  We then headed down to the graves to clean them and put flowers around.
Three generations
Helping grandpa carry the water to wash the graves and water the flowers
Chasing Grandma who hid behind the tree and jumped out and tried to scare Adam
 Getting a ride
DaNae helping Adam water the flowers
But he wanted to do it by himself

The weekend included lots of yummy food, shopping, and good times for all.  More to come!

Fountains

Adam LOVES the water.  He stops at any fountain that he can find and loves to go swimming.  We've taken him swimming a few times in the last few weeks, but last week when we walked past the swimming pool in our neighborhood he stopped and just watched the others swimming for a good 10 minutes.  He always just gets so excited around water.  Adam and I went with my parents up to Salt Lake one day and ended up at the new city creek center and Adam loved the fountains.  He just played and played and got soaking wet.
Arriving and checking things out.
Water!
Chasing the water in the splash pad... he loved running around in a circle after the water.
Sitting in the water and getting very wet.  He decided to put his head into the water from here... the only problem was that he did it when the fountains on top came on and all of a sudden the water started rushing faster and he got a little scared.
Enjoying the other side of the fountain near the end of our trip.  I'm sure glad that I had a change of clothes for him.  They were the ones I had set aside to garden at Grandmas so they weren't as nice but it was better than spending the afternoon all wet.

I have a feeling we will be spending many hours this summer in the water... either at the pool, or a splash pad, there are a few in the area, and some by daddy's work.  He sure does love water and has so much fun getting wet... the other day after playing I didn't have clothes for him to come home in, so I just stripped him down to his diaper once it was time to go home, I guess I need to keep restocking those extra clothes cause I never know when he will find water.

Slacker!

I know that I have been such a slacker lately and that I have so much to catch up on so hopefully I will get working on that.  I take my pictures with my phone and right before Mother's Day I dropped my phone and it went the way of all the earth.  I need to pull out the memory card and make sure all the pictures get transfered... I know most of them are on here so that is comforting.  Not much else is really new with us, we just go though our daily routine and enjoy being together!

Adam decided that bear needed a diaper change one day and he took care of that.
