Holley the Elf

We have to document what our elf did this year.  I didn't get pictures of all her hiding places but Adam sure had fun finding her each morning.  She brought us breakfast the first morning and we had fun making muffins.

She even came to Grandma's house with us... Though I didn't take many pictures there

Christmas is Coming

We had a fun December getting ready for Christmas.  We decorated our tree the day after Thanksgiving and Adam loved helping.

We then all wanted to be in front of the tree all the time.
Of course we had some snow....well... I was thinking that the snow didn't hit until after Christmas but that isn't what the picture time line shows so I'm guessing that's true.... Just because the winter we move is the 3rd snowiest in Chicago History....let's just say we saw lots of snow and got very tired of it.

We had a make a gingerbread train
Adam loved it... Or at least eating it...

From our church Christmas party.
Oh here is the eating it picture...
Back to the church party... The nursery kids sung Once There Was A Snowman.  Adam loved singing in front of everyone... It was right after this though that he threw one of the biggest tantrums ever and we left early and had a long ride home.  But overall it was a fun time getting ready for Christmas.

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a small Thanksgiving this year, just our little family.  We enjoyed a day relaxing, watching the parade and some football.  Adam and I made some hats we found at Target.
And of course we had all our favorite Thanksgiving foods...my mouth is watering just looking at this picture, good thing dinner is almost ready

The Train Diner

We found a fun place to eat one Saturday afternoon.  It was really busy but Adam found something to keep him busy until it was our turn to sit at the counter.
You have to wait for the counter because then the train will bring you your food.
With the teddy bear for a conductor!  It is one of Adam's favorite places.  The food isn't the greatest but it sure is fun to be surrounded by trains.
While Dad was gone on his business trip Mom and Adam had fun at Steak N Shake.  I sure do love spending time with my little boy.

November Around the House

We finally got our pictures from the moving company....and what else would you do with a big box besides play in it.
And fall in it
Where's Adam?
Wait what is under the rug?
Oh now I see it...silly boy!

Mommy and Adam making silly faces to send to Dad while he is on a business trip.

Halloween

It is time to get caught up since this is basically my scrapbook.
Adam was Jake, from Jake and the Neverland Pirates for Halloween.  On the Saturday before we went to the boo at the zoo and then to our ward Trunk of Treat.

I tried to be Izzy from the show, but didn't do much on my costume so it didn't work the greatest.
He had a party at preschool and I got to enjoy the costume parade and then his class singing songs.

Here is my Spider-Man pirate.
We had to pick Daddy up at the train station, but on the way we stopped at Jamba where Adam got a free Jamba.  He didn't really like the flavor he picked out so he drank most of mine.
Once we got home we did a little trick or treating in the neighborhood.  It was a little rainy and chilly but it stopped long enough for us to do a few house.

Day 4

The thing that made me happy today was a trip to the zoo with friends.  It was a beautiful day and so much warmer than it has been.  I am so excited that spring is coming, even if we will have more snow first.

Day 3

Tonight I spent the day looking forward to eating popcorn and watching The Amazing Race.  It has been a nice night relaxing and catching up on some shows.

Day 2

Today Scott and I went to the temple in the morning.  We decided to do sealings and it was like we were getting married all over again.  I love the happy feeling that I get every time I kneel at the alter.  So glad that families can be together forever.

100 Happy Days Day 1

So I saw a link on Facebook that I want to try.  The challenge is for 100 days to post something that makes you happy.  I'm not sure how I want to do this yet, it may just go on Facebook but I thought today I would start on my blog.

Today what makes me happy is that while I am writing this I am having a fun evening watching movies and eating pizza with my little family.  We watched Brave and Madagascar with a Costco pizza.  Being with these two wonderful boys make me happy, especially since I think Scott and I get to leave in a few minutes to have a little late night date too.  While my life is nothing like I thought it would be I love it and am very grateful for my sweet, fun loving family.

Catch up...again

So I know that I have been missing for a bit.  We are doing good, just finally settled into Chicago and really busy.  I am the young women president at our church which means I am in charge of all the girls from 12 to 18.  We have activities each week so it has been keeping me busy.  I have had a ton of help from the other leaders and young women so it has been fun.  I know that I really should really catch up with all our pictures, like the ones from my phone, but here are the ones from the iPad to get started.
Scott and I were shopping and he found this wall hanging and we felt it fit our family perfectly.  We got it this week and I love it.
Our handsome boy is growing up way too fast, I can't believe he  will be 4 is less than 3 weeks

His new train on Christmas morning.  We got to spend Christmas is Utah and visit with family and friends.
