When we went to Busch Gardens a few weeks ago with our friends for their anniversary they took some pictures and sent them on to us. So now you get to see something. Here are the four of us in line for a ride. This is Mark and Leo.
Here are Scott and Mark trying on hats.

And then there is me and Leo
Well then Scott and I got in trouble and they put us in the stocks!

Another month gone by

Wow I can't believe how fast time is going by. Scott and I are still having lots of fun here in Virginia Beach. Lets see... what can we say.

We had fun celebrating 3 years together. We went out to dinner and enjoyed the time together. Two weeks later we went to Busch Gardens with another couple. That was really fun. The lines weren't very long and we enjoyed some fun rides. It was cloudy all day which just meant that it wasn't hot so it was perfect! The park was so pretty. We got passes since we live in Virginia... it was the same price, hopefully I can go a few times this summer with some of the other wives.

I also got the chance to meet up with Matt and Jessica when they came to DC. I drove up and met them at Mt Vernon. Then we went to visit Uncle Brian and Aunt Faye. It was fun to see them and Josh and Liese. I got to stay with Josh and Liese at their new house! The next morning Matt Jess and I went to the temple and then checked them into their hotel. We then ventured into DC. Finding parking was a nightmare but we survived and got to walk around for a bit. I wish I could post pictures, but no camera cord. One of the wives let me borrow one, but it is the wrong size..... i was so excited... Well I guess in a few months there will be plenty to see!

Lets see other than that my days are full of reading, scrapebooking, cleaning, and going to the pool. I am also working with the Young Women in the ward. I should be getting ready to go to our activity tonight... which I will do in a minute. Liese is coming to visit me this weekend! Then the office is going up to the DC area for the fourth. So we should be in the capitial for Independence Day!

Well I guess that is it for now... now I just have to see if I can keep an internet connection long enough for this to post.

Hey I really am still alive

So I am sitting here in the Pinnacle office and I actually have the internet so I decided that I could write a quick update. We decided not to pay for the internet out here... so we can rarely get it in our apartment... but we are making it work.

Let's see. We have settled into life here in Virginia. Scott is doing well at work and I'm enjoying the time to relax and get stuff down around the house. I am also trying to catch up on my scrapebook... I am within a year!!! So our lives are kinda boring right now so there isn't much for me to report. Tomorrow I get to go to Washington DC to go to the temple with some people from church out here. That will be fun. We have gotten to see some movies lately. We were a little disappointed in Angels and Demons, but we liked 17 Again and Terminator.

So yup... that is all I can think of for now. We are still alive and having fun in Virginia!

Travels

So it has been a great and busy two weeks. We are now in Virginia Beach and I forgot the cord to connect my camera to the computer, so we'll have to deal without that for the next little while. So no pictures for now... just lots of words from me. I hope I don't bore you too much.

Well, our last week in Utah was pretty busy. I finished up my last day of work on tax day and I was really sad to leave my office. The people I worked with were so wonderful. We'll see what next year brings, but I would love to work in that office again.

Scott was working hard. He did lots of studying and took all his finals on Friday and Saturday. He was so glad to be done! We enjoyed playing with Greg and Rachel on Saturday night and seeing their new baby girl! She is so cute.

At the end of the week I was trying to pack up and clean the house. My mom was able to come and play with me a little too and help. On Sunday we had a BBQ with my family. It was nice to see everyone before we left!

On Monday we got up and finished packing and cleaning the house. We were trying to wait for a package coming with a new battery for Scott's phone. As we were cleaning the doorbell rang... it was FedEx with a package.... for our neighbors..... we just had to laugh. A little after that our package finally came as we were finishing our cleaning. So then we got into the car and drove to Colorado to spend the night with the Goodmans. It was so nice to see Eric and the kids and to get to know Melodie a little better. It was fun to get to spend some time with all the kids. They are so great! and Melodie is doing wonderful with the kids!

Tuesday we left early in the morning to get to St Louis. We stopped in Columbia on the way to visit our friends Becca and Tom with their two girls. I had classes with both of them my freshman year of college and encouraged them to date. They were in our ward after we got married and we had tons of fun together. We miss them since they moved to MO last year. When we got into St. Louis we stayed with the Speidels, an old young women's leader and family of one of my best friends growing up. Lonie cooked a yummy dinner for us! Then I got to take Scott to Ted Drewes with Cyndi.

On Wednesday we got to go to the Arch, visit Sister Keetch, a youth leader, and to a Cardinals came. Erin and Krystal came with us to the game. The Speidels were so nice and let us use their seats that were about 13 rows behind the Cardinals dugout! It was so close to sit so close... but we did have to watch out for foul balls, some got pretty close. It was so fun to catch up with Erin and Krystal!

Thursday Scott and I went to the temple for sealings. It was fun to take Scott to the temple I grew up with and saw dedicated. I always thought I would get married there, but Timponogas was great! The important thing is that it was in the temple so that we can be together forever! We then ate lunch at Lion's Choice... I love their Roast Beef. Then we met Ashley at the Zoo and got to meet her handsome son Max! She didn't have very long, but it was fun to catch up.

Scott and I wondered around the zoo for a bit but it was so hot and we were tired. We decided to check out the history muesum in Forest Park. It was air conditioned! For dinner that night we went to Stake N Shake to meet a group. There were about 12 of us there so it was sometimes hard to talk to everyone. Aubrie and Abe came with their children, Cyndi and Aimee also came. Ashley came also with Carl and Max. I was excited to meet Carl, but sad that I didn't get to talk to him too much. Krystal and her boyfriend came a little late when she got out of class.

It was so wonderful to show Scott around St. Loius and to introduce him to all my friends. It was also so great to see everyone! We loved the St. Louis area and seeing everyone!

Friday we spent a long day in the car! We got into Va Beach fairly early, but we couldn't move into our place so there were so techs that were already here that let us spend the night with them. On Saturday we spent the day moving in doing the shopping to get settled. We are in the same complex as last year, but on the other side. It was kinda weird to know it is differnt from last summer and yet so much the same! It has been nice to know a little about the area and already have an idea of how to get around.

Sunday we went to our new ward. It is the same ward we were in last summer. We were the first of the summer salesmen to come to church since the office isn't really open yet so they were suprised to see us. It was also funny to see some people wonder if they knew us cause they reconized us from last year. That night the office took us to dinner with the few people who were in town. It was nice to get to know people in a smaller group before lots of people arrived. We also got to walk on the beach. It was so beautiful! The weather was perfect. There was a warm breeze from the shore and a cool breeze from the ocean, it felt so wonderful. The beach was also fairly empty and it was just perfect to take a stroll!

Yesterday was Scott's first day working. He spent most of the day in training and trying to get licensed, but they were still able to go out for a little bit. He is getting the hang of things again, it is all coming back. I am hanging out... a little bummed that the pool isn't open yet. I'm keeping the house clean, getting organized and trying to stay busy.

Happy Easter!

Well it has been another good week. Scott has been working hard with school. The last day of classes is tomorrow so he has started getting ready for finals! We are also starting to get ready to leave for the summer. We have our list of things to get done and we have started working on them.

On Friday we got to go to Divine Comedy. It was pretty funny, they make fun of the BYU culture with lots of skits. We were a little bummed that we didn't get glow necklaces... they throw them out to the audience and I think we may have been the only people in the show that they missed... oh well, it was still fun.

On Saturday night we got to go out to dinner with the people I work with. We had tons of fun. Scott and I talked about how lucky I am to have found such a wonderful job with such a great atmosphere. I'm sad that tax season is ending so this office is closing, but it has been great!

After the work dinner we went to Cold Stone Creamery for ice cream. Scott got his for free because we joined the birthday club. That was fun. Everyone should sign up cause it is free ice cream!

We kinda had a low key Easter this year. Since we leave in a week we are trying to get rid of all the food in our house. We had enchiladas for dinner. I made them a few weeks ago and put them in the freezer, so it was time to eat them. I missed the yummy special dinner of ham and potatoes, so I think I will have to make that in Virginia. We did spend the day focusing on the life of the Savior. We read some thoughts on the Atonement and listened to Elder Holland's talk on the last week of the Savior's life from conference last week again. It was so great to have the chance to concentrate on Christ. I am so grateful to know that He is always there, that He loves me, and that He has experienced everything so that I can always turn to Him no matter what.

Scott and I also spent time this week reading Harry Potter 7. We just love reading together. On Staurday night we got to play games with my parents and Matt and Jessica. That was awesome. We played Yatzee Free for All and Cramium and just loved it!

Conference Weekend!

So Scott and I had a great weekend. His birthday is over and we spent most of it watching conference. I did make him a yummy birthday breakfast with way too much food. We were so glad to have DVR. On Saturday we slept in a little and then after I made breakfast we watched conference while we were eating it! We loved Elder Hales talk about staying out of debt and being willing to say "I can't afford that", or "I can afford that, but I don't need (or want) it." I enjoyed hanging out with my mom during the Priesthood Session and she even stayed and played games with us after Scott got home for a bit.

Scott and I found a new favorite game. For Christmas we got Yatzee Free for All, a little twist on the regular Yatzee and we love it! We have played it so many times since Saturday!

On Sunday we had to wake up really early, but we got to go to the Conference Center in Salt Lake to watch General Conference live! It was so neat to be there for that session... Elder Holland's talk on the life of Christ was totally amazing. It really made me apprieciate this week to celebrate Easter and the life of our Savior Jesus Christ.

When we got home we were exhausted so we recorded the afternoon session and took a nap! It was nice to sleep some after getting up so early!

Yesterday while Scott was at school I went to the funeral of my great Aunt Mert. She will be greatly missed. She is my Grandma Ruth's sister who died before I was born and she has always be great to our family. It was nice to see family yesterday, even on a sad day. It makes me very grateful to know that our family has been sealed in the temple so that we can be together for ever. I can just see Aunt Mert meeting up with Grandma Ruth, her perents, and my sister! Familes are forever!

Birthday Meal at Tucanos

For Scott's birthday he got a free meal at Tucanos, a Brizalian place that is so yummy! So on Wednesday we met Greg, Rachel, and DaNae at Tucanos to have a birthday lunch. So this resturant has a pretty good salad bar, with some hot foods too. Our favorite part is all the meat and other grilled stuff that they bring around. Scott's favorite was the garlic surlion... I had so many favorites I can't name them... grilled pinnapple, turkey wrapped in bacon, and brown sugar pork... okay so I named some of them. The food was so good and I was proud of myself for not eating so much that I couldn't move.

Here is a picture of Scott, me, and Scott's sister DaNae!

And here is a picture of Scott with Greg and Rachel. Greg was Scott's trainer on the mission and Rachel is going to have a baby in the next week or so! Congrats to them!
So here is one of our adventures of birthday week so far. I've felt a little sick this week... just an annoying sore throat so Scott has been good to take care of me. But that means that this birthday week hasn't been too exciting for Scott.... have I explained that birthday week is what Scott's family does and for a week you get to pick the meals and movies and games and whatever... so birthday week gets to continue on a little into next week. After work today I am going to do the Grochery Shopping and try to clean the house a little! Tomorrow will be mostly watching conference.... Happy Birthday Scott!

So I am starting to plan our week to get out to Virginia... We have decided to try and spend an extra day in St Louis and do a little Sight seeing. That just seemed to make more sense than the other options. I am excited to show Scott around... now I just have to figure out what he should see. Let me know if you have any ideas!
