Fall!

I am so excited for it to be fall. I just love this time of year. I put up all my decorations yesterday.... those are mostly Halloween... but that is a part of fall.

I love it when it starts to get a little cooler, there is just that cool chrispness in the air. That means we can save money on our air conditioning! It reminds me of back to school time, which I always loved and I am sometimes a little sad I'm not still in school anymore. Also it means football season! I love football season. I guess that is from my two football obsessed brothers and from seven years in Marching Band. Plus it means we a getting closer to Christmas and Thanksgiving. And you have Halloween, who doesn't love a holiday with lots of free candy. I can't wait until next year when I have a little one to take Trick or Treating! Plus it means I have a birthday coming up. Not that that is really a big deal, but it still is a happy day! I am so happy to be home and be able to decorate this year! Oh how much I love the next three months! I am excited to take a drive through the Alpine Loop to see the fall leaves and maybe even get to a corn maze!

Can't Wait Till March

So Scott and I are having fun. He has started working and I will start working tomorrow. Now we are just looking for some extra seasonal work to get some extra money. Scott is also getting ready to start some independent study courses so that hopefully he can still graduate in August.... if he works and goes to school full time, so it will be a long year. I have also started a tax class.
Many of you already know this... You may have noticed the countdown, but about 8 weeks ago we got this!
Yep I'm 12 weeks pregnant. We had our first doctor's appointment this week and everything seems to be going well. We even got to hear the baby's heartbeat. Our Due Date is March 28 and we are really excited.
We found out while my parents were in Virginia so we got to tell them in person. The baby sent them a card so here they are reading it.

Grandpa's 90th Birthday Party

My grandpa turns 90 in December and the family decided to throw him a big birthday party in August so we could do it outside and more people from out of state could come. At first Scott and I didn't think we would be able to make it, but we decided to return to Utah and make it just in time.
Me, Grandpa, and Leise. I got to see Leise alot this summer... She came and visited my twice in Va Beach and I saw her twice in DC! We were roommates our Freshmen year of college so it was great to be able to catch up so much. Now I'm sad that I won't be able to see her as often. Here are a bunch of the cousins... My Parent's Visit July 2009

My parents came to visit in July and we had tons of fun. We took one Sunday after church and drove up to Williamsburg and walked around the town. We had lots of fun seeing the sights. My parents even got put in the stocks... Scott and I in front of one of the cool buildings. While Scott was working I got to do some other things with my parents. We checked out a light house, but I didn't have my camera. We also got to take a really cool Naval Cruise. We went down the river on the boat and got to go past the Norfolk Naval Base and see some of the battleships. The boat was really fun. Next to the Cruise Harbor was a mesuem where we got to walk around an old battleship. Those are some big guns! I had fun pretending to shot some guns off.

Me with the Washinton Family. George, Martha, Martha's kids and Me. Matt and I in front of the Washington Home. Then we stayed at Uncle Brian and Aunt Faye's for the night. We got to go to the temple the next day and then into the city. It was my first time in DC and it was fun to see some of the sights. We checked out the mesuem of Natural History. The rest of these pictures are from our weekend trip up to DC. Scott's office were spending the 4th of July weekend selling in Fairfax. We got to go to the temple together. I also spent the 3rd in DC with some of the other wives in the office. We checked out the capital building and then walked around some more.
On the Steps of the Capital. I thought this front view of the Capital was pretty. We left that night and went back to Virginia Beach and got to spend the 4th on the beach watching fireworks!

Fun In St. Louis April 2009

Scott and I then got to spend a few days in St. Louis staying with my old Young Womens Leader and best friend's family.... The Speidels! So we had tons of fun.

We got to go to Ted Drewes! Great ice cream concretes! I had to take Scott to this St. Louis tradition!
We checked out my old house!

And the temple

Here we are outside the Arch. This is one of the sides. Scott outside the door of the little elevator to go up to the top of the arch. It was a small area inside. Here we are at the top of the arch. It was a great view of the city! Later that day we got to go and visit with Sister Keetch, another young women's leader. It was fun to catch up! The new cardinals stadium!!!!!! It was so fun to go to a game! We had great seats compliments of the Speidels and it was so fun to check out the new staduim. Here is the view from our seats... It was cool to see the arch from the seats. We got to meet up with some friends at the game. Here is me, Erin, and Krystal... It was great to get a new picture of the three of us. Scott and I in the stadium! We also took a trip to the Zoo! It was kinda hot and we were tired so we didn't stay too long. But we had some fun. We also got to meet up with my friend Ashley. It was fun to catch up and meet her new little boy. One of the last places we went was a trip to Stake N Shake for dinner. It was fun to meet up with a large group of friends. Here we have Aimee, Cyndi, Ashley, with her husband Carl, and Aubriee and Abe... with the kids. Krystal and her boyfriend joined us later. The rest of the trip to Virginia was uneventful. We had lots of fun but were glad to finally arrive at our destination.

The next day we drove to St Louis and got to spend a few days there. On the way we stopped in Columbia to say hi to the Duffanys. We were all friends our freshman year of college and then were in the same ward after Scott and I got married. We were sad when they moved but happy we got a chance to see them.
