Walk

Adam loves being outside.  He loves taking walks, playing on the playground, running in circles... anything that lets him use his energy.  We sure are missing that right now with it being so cold, but he would still be outside all the time if I let him, even if his hands froze....

On this day in early July the whole family went for a walk and Adam saw a tractor working and so we had to stop and watch, in the shade cause it was really hot... which feels weird now cause I just want to be in the sun...

Independence Day 2012

 I just scrolled through all the pictures I have taken since this day... and wow I have a lot to catch up on.  This is really my family history so I need to get it done... and it will happen, just a little slowly.  So now we get to celebrate the 4th of July in December.

We started the day off with a trip to the store and Adam loved pushing his bear in the cart.

We ate some lunch and in the parking lot was a fire truck and Adam loved checking it out.

At the mall we gave into the special offers at Build a Bear and Adam got to make a special USA bear we call Blue.

 After a little nap we headed up to my parents for a BBQ.

My mom made this fun cookie pie!  Oh how I love fruit in the summer... This is making my mouth water right now.
We then went to the park to catch some fireworks.

We went a bit early to get some seats and it sure was fun to hang out with family.
They had a train running and the kids had such a fun time riding the train... and playing in the extra cars while waiting for it to be our turn.

 We only have 2 lawn chairs but Adam made sure he got one.  With Blue and a muffin he didn't need anything else.  He got a little nervous when the fireworks actually went off but we sure had fun and he talked about them for weeks.

Lehi Roundup

 In June we met up with my parents to head to the Lehi Round-up.  

We watched the parade and then Adam got to go on the pony ride. 

 He loved it and had to go again before we left.

 Once we got back to my parents Adam wanted to workout with Grandpa.  

It is hard to tell in this picture but it is using one of those pull things on the door and Adam was exercising!

Wild Fire Season

This was the picture from our house in June during one of the area wild fires.  It was a crazy summer for fires, with lots of them popping up in the area.  It really made me think about being prepared for an emergency.

Rainbow Cupcakes

 Adam loves to help in the kitchen.  He loves it when I pull out the mixer, I think it's because he hopes I will make dough, he LOVES dough.

 We made rainbow cupcakes so we used floor coloring to color the batter the different colors.  Adam just wanted to eat it.

He did have fun once he got what we were doing.  The cupcakes were pretty fun with lots of different colors

Grandma gave Adam a suit and he was so cute with his new sun glasses.  What a big boy!











We always enjoy meeting up with Dad for lunch while he is working.  This is outside one of our favorite places and Adam has lots of fun on here.

Back in the game!

So I know that I have been absent from the blogging world for awhile.  Someday I will catch up...hopefully soon but for now I guess it's time for a bit of an update.

Adam is growing so fast, he is just a little boy now.  His favorite movie is The Polar Express and right now we watch it about 100 times a day.  He likes balls and sports, but he LOVES anything with wheels.  Cars and trains are the favorite and he is happy with playing with those by himself sometimes.  Adam and I try to get out a few times a week so we don't go stir crazy.  He loves going to a toddler gym class at the community center and we like story time at the library.  He gets excited to go to story time but he has a hard time sitting for the stories...we are getting better and we love to get backpacks from the library that come with some books and toys/puzzles all around one theme.  We put up the Christmas tree yesterday while he was sleeping.  The first thing he did when he woke up was to get a chair by the Christmas tree so that he could play with his Christmas tree ornaments, Lighting McQueen from last year, and a train for this year.

Scott is still working lots.  He is still working hard with his company and working on getting a little spin off company going too.  He loves spending time with us and Adam gets very excited when he comes home.

I am having fun staying home with Adam and trying to keep the house under control.  I have a new hobby in crochet and I love it!  I am working on several gifts for different people so I can't post pictures yet.

So we are good and getting excited for Christmas.  Now I guess I will start to get caught up and post some pictures!
