Summer Fun!

So we just spent the last few days at Disneyland on a last minute trip and I want to blog about it, but want to keep things in order... maybe this will actually get me to get caught up!
We had a church ward picnic over the summer and had a blast playing around.
Adam loved throwing around the water balloons and got excited when he got to eat a donut, even if we made him work for it.
He was doing it at the same time as the bishopric (church leaders) and he got more leeway in being able to us his hands.
He is a big "helper" and loves to climb into the laundry baskets.  It doesn't matter if the are empty or full, clean or dirty.  He just thinks he is so cute.
Adam loved going to the outdoor malls and playing in the fountains.  I'm not sure there was anything he enjoyed more...
I didn't do too well with my garden this year.  It was just too hard to walk over there and keep Adam out of everyone else's garden... I decided not to do one for this coming year... but now that winter is here and they are starting to put gardening stuff up in the store I'm almost rethinking that... nope can't let that happen.  I will garden on my balcony this year and help my mom in hers... the weeds just get so big it seems impossible to stay on top of them... kinda like keeping my house clean.

We loved watching the Olympics.  Adam got really into gymnastics and decided to make his own balance beam!
 Nap time with Grandma!
This boy loves things with wheels!

St George

Next on our list of catch up items is a very fun summer trip to St George.  Matt and Jessica took a vacation in July and invited the family to join them.  Scott had to work, but Adam and I joined them with my mom and the Goodman cousins who were in town for a visit.  We stayed in a house of some of Jessica's family and had lots of fun.
We went to the splash pad and Adam loved jumping in the water.
And just playing and getting wet.
We brought a picnic lunch and Adam had fun digging into the chips.
We enjoyed lots of time in different water activities to cool off and even spent some time at a park before it got too hot.
The Goodmans only stayed for part of the adventure.  I guess I didn't really get any pictures of them but we sure had fun.  Adam and I stayed a bit longer with Matt and Jessica and family.
One day we went to a trampoline park ( that also had inflatables) and Adam was in heaven
Here is a video that I took.  I have never tried to put a video on here before, so we will see if this works.

Adam and I finished the trip off with lunch at a Japanese Steakhouse.  We then left the Nix family to have a bit of their vacation to themselves.  We sure had lots of fun and were very grateful that they shared their fun with us.

Pass of All Passes

We enjoyed using our pass of all passes last summer that let us into a water park, some fun centers, and lots of different sporting events on specific dates through the year.  One weekend we got to go on Friday and Saturday to two different events, that sure made for a fun weekend.
We got to take cousin Landon with us to go to a Utah Blaze Arena Football game on a Friday night.  Adam had lots of fun bringing his football and riding up with Landon.
We all had fun at the game.
Adam started to get a little antsy so we almost left, but Landon wanted to stay and we sure were glad that we did.
After the game they set up tables on the field and the players came out and signed stuff for everyone.
It was fun being down on the field
Adam loved throwing his football and running to get it... and we didn't even lose it when he would throw it into crowds of people, everyone thought he was just so cute, which (in my totally unbiased opinion) he is.
The next day we got to go to the Rocky Mountain Raceway to see some oval track racing.  We got to bring cousins Ryan and Kyle with us this time and we met up with Matt and Jessica and family.  Adam sure had fun with cousins.  We loved watching the races and the boys sure got a kick out of all the cars.

Walk

Adam loves being outside.  He loves taking walks, playing on the playground, running in circles... anything that lets him use his energy.  We sure are missing that right now with it being so cold, but he would still be outside all the time if I let him, even if his hands froze....

On this day in early July the whole family went for a walk and Adam saw a tractor working and so we had to stop and watch, in the shade cause it was really hot... which feels weird now cause I just want to be in the sun...

Independence Day 2012

I just scrolled through all the pictures I have taken since this day... and wow I have a lot to catch up on.  This is really my family history so I need to get it done... and it will happen, just a little slowly.  So now we get to celebrate the 4th of July in December.
We started the day off with a trip to the store and Adam loved pushing his bear in the cart.
We ate some lunch and in the parking lot was a fire truck and Adam loved checking it out.
At the mall we gave into the special offers at Build a Bear and Adam got to make a special USA bear we call Blue.
After a little nap we headed up to my parents for a BBQ.
My mom made this fun cookie pie!  Oh how I love fruit in the summer... This is making my mouth water right now.
We then went to the park to catch some fireworks.
We went a bit early to get some seats and it sure was fun to hang out with family.
They had a train running and the kids had such a fun time riding the train... and playing in the extra cars while waiting for it to be our turn.

We only have 2 lawn chairs but Adam made sure he got one.  With Blue and a muffin he didn't need anything else.  He got a little nervous when the fireworks actually went off but we sure had fun and he talked about them for weeks.
