Rides!

We found out that Adam is a little daredevil... well at least with some things.  He loves to ride rides and it is great when we find a place where he is tall enough to go on them.
He never wanted to get off these airplanes...
until he saw the go carts
but then it was back to the airplanes... with a little friend.... he's only 2, boy am I in trouble.
Plus they had a little bit of bowling... yep this little boy was in heaven!
On a different trip to the same park we checked out some of the other rides.
He always acts like he doesn't care, or that he is scared when he is on the ride, but as soon as he gets off he yells.. "That was fun!"
I was not allowed to go on this one with him.  He got so mad when I tried to sit next to him.  I guess my little boy is growing up!

Dinosaur Museum

During the discount Tuesdays in August I thought it would be fun to take Adam to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point.  We got there one more and the line was about a mile long to just get in, so I abandoned that idea for the day and went to the gardens instead.  At least at the gardens you're outside and there is more room to spread out if it's crowded... But my dad has a membership that gets you in for half price if you go with him so Adam and I crashed the party when my parents took Easton.  Adam still mentions this trip about half the time when we pass the museum so I think it was a hit!
We need 2 pictures here... you know you can't get both kids to look at the same time, that would be impossible.
Playing with the Dinos!
Sand, water, and dinosaurs... what more could a little boy want.
SHARK!!!!
Digging with cousin for bones!
Let's make music!  Adam wanted to do whatever we were doing and didn't like it if we tried to tell him he was too small and needed help.

Park City

In August/September we took 2 separate trips to Park City.  The first one was just Scott and I with our friends Greg and Rachel.  The second trip Adam and I came up at the end of a long week while Scott was there on a business retreat.
Checking out Olympic Park.  It was really neat watching the ski jumpers practice going down the slopes and jumping into the big pools.  We also enjoyed checking out the outlet malls before Greg and Rachel had to leave.
Scott and I then checked out the area on our own for a bit.  We took pictures to send to Adam while we waited for the trolley.
Lots of interesting things along the high streets of Park City.
When we went with Adam I think his favorite thing was riding the bus, or getting to walk up high on the "balance beam" on the way to the bus.
Adam and Scott enjoying the view on the bridge above the street.

Thanksgiving Point Gardens

Tuesdays in August they have a reduced price ticket for the gardens at Thanksgiving Point.  This year we went most days and enjoyed the time outside with the pretty flowers.  We went with family one week and friends from the neighborhood other weeks.  It was just nice to get out of the house and have some fun!
Climbing in the spider web
Rolling down the hill with cousins.  I think Jessica was glad to have them out of the house since their sister Megan was due anyday.
 That's one big tire!

In the water.  When you entered the gardens you got a 20 min time slot to play in the water and we sure had fun when it was our turn.
Play that funky music white boy!  I got a video of him signing twinkle twinkle little star here, but since they don't seem to work I won't post it.  Lets just say he had lots of fun playing with the music.
 What a beautiful place!

Summer Fun!

So we just spent the last few days at Disneyland on a last minute trip and I want to blog about it, but want to keep things in order... maybe this will actually get me to get caught up!
We had a church ward picnic over the summer and had a blast playing around.
Adam loved throwing around the water balloons and got excited when he got to eat a donut, even if we made him work for it.
He was doing it at the same time as the bishopric (church leaders) and he got more leeway in being able to us his hands.
He is a big "helper" and loves to climb into the laundry baskets.  It doesn't matter if the are empty or full, clean or dirty.  He just thinks he is so cute.
Adam loved going to the outdoor malls and playing in the fountains.  I'm not sure there was anything he enjoyed more...
I didn't do too well with my garden this year.  It was just too hard to walk over there and keep Adam out of everyone else's garden... I decided not to do one for this coming year... but now that winter is here and they are starting to put gardening stuff up in the store I'm almost rethinking that... nope can't let that happen.  I will garden on my balcony this year and help my mom in hers... the weeds just get so big it seems impossible to stay on top of them... kinda like keeping my house clean.

We loved watching the Olympics.  Adam got really into gymnastics and decided to make his own balance beam!
 Nap time with Grandma!
This boy loves things with wheels!
