Easter Egg Hunts

Adam went on lots of Easter Egg hunts this year.  He had one at the rec center where he took a gym class once a week and one at church .  Then when we got to Zermatt there was an egg hunt on Saturday and Sunday.  Waiting for the hunt to begin.  They divided it by age and it was nice that Adam was in the younger group, he had a lot of fun.
We spent the weekend just relaxing.  We had our own kitchen so we just picked up easy meals that we could cook without any work and it was a wonderful break.
I did decide that I liked the idea of a little family hunt where the eggs were a little, but not much, more hidden.  So I hid the eggs and then Adam and Scott joined me outside and we helped Adam find the eggs.

And high

Even in the trees
So that bruise on his head....well we went for a walk and he tried to run down the hill...he didn't really make it.

So on Easter Weekend Scott's mom fell and shattered her ankle.  Four months later she is just starting to be able to put a little weight on it.  Adam and I decided to send her down a little care package.
It was pretty fun to put together...I know there was a puzzle in there too so I must not have gotten a picture of everything.  I guess I just like to take pictures of things when I actually get creative.

More train

I thought I had more pictures from the train ride..... So here they are...

The Easter Train

We spent Easter Weekend at Zermatt resort in Midway by Hebert and had so much fun.  We started the weekend with the train...don't let this picture fool you... Adam LOVED it...there must have been a loud noise because this kid sure not like loud noises.
My boys and the train!  Adam loved the front of this train...he just wanted to climb on it.

That is one handsome boy in heaven with trains around

And he got to meet the Easter Bunny!

They also had a tiny petting zoo before the train left.  He wasn't too excited about the animals but we convinced him to pet them a little at least.  We sat facing each other as a family on the train and had fun looking out the window at the passing countryside.  Adam loved the train.  The Easter Bunny even came into our car and got us all to do the bunny hop!

Toy Story Party

For the family party for Adam's 3rd birthday we put together a Toy Story party.  I had a lot of fun on Pinterest finding ideas and this is what we came up with.
Ham and Little Green Alien for the cupcakes.  My mom and I put them together on Saturday ( the party was on Sunday) and had fun decorating together. While I don't always feel the most talented at crafty things I have fun trying and I think my stuff is starting to look a lot better than it used to!
I also had a blast putting the decorations together.  I found a pack of green army men for cheap and made sure that they were around where the presents would be kept.  And I had to have them repelling down something....

And I loved putting the baby monitor in the plant with the army men.  I'm not sure anyone really noticed nut I sure got a kick out of it.
The front door.  I found some links on Pinterest to some print outs and had fun putting them around.
We got Adam these Toy Story characters for his birthday.  We let him open them early so that we could use them to decorate for the party!  He wasn't complaining about that.

The cake stand.

Drinks....with some friends at the bottom.
Our Pizza Planet buffet.  There is a Toy Story balloon up there too but it got a little cut out of this picture.  I made home made pizza and got there early to get started on it.  We ate first so I had a pizza ready as people were supposed to get there, the ones for the kids, and then had two more in the oven.  Even with just my siblings that are in Utah we are turning into a pretty big group so we made a lot of pizza.  We also did fruit pizzas with sugar cookie dough and just some fresh fruit.  The family brought a pasta salad and chips.
We played There's a Snake in my Boot with little plastic snakes and a tin can with a boot on it.  The kids had a blast throwing them in.
The piñata was another big hit!
And who doesn't love presents?

Blowing out his candle
And a little out of order but another piñata picture.  The kids always love going for the candy and then destroying the rest of the piñata after.

There. Now I have finally put up his birthday pictures, even if he is closer to 3.5 now and getting ready to start preschool in a month...I will catch up, I'm working on it and maybe someday I will even stay caught up!

Adam turns 3

In March my little boy turned another year older.  It's hard to believe how fast time flies.
A big box came from Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt DaNae in Arizona and he was excited to be able to open the box.
And he loved the Thomas the Train bean bag that came out of it.
Grandpa Nix's birthday is just before Adam's and he wanted to go to Sizzler as a family.  We met up as a big group and had fun eating and spending time together.
Grandpa and Adam got root beer floats for their birthdays.
Adam was more excited for the sucker that came with it.

Games with Daddy

I'm back in the blogging world!  I've have finished my groupon to make my books so now I have time to blog again.  I just looked through the pictures from the last few months and I can't believe how much I have to catch up on... Well at least this is a start.
Daddy has a game he likes to play and it got introduced to Adam in mid-March.  Adam sits on daddy's legs and gets asked a question.  If he gets the question wrong he falls through the legs onto the pillows below....I'm not sure that is much of an incentive to get the answer right!
He sure loves playing with Daddy!
Our boy is a little crazy!

Soon!

Things are crazy but good.  I know I got all caught up on my blog and then disappeared again... I will get back up to date again soon.  I bought a groupon of 3 photo books so I am starting from the beginning of the blog and and creating books out of all my blog posts.  So that is what I am spending my computer time on right now.  That expires in a month so I have a lot to do in the next few weeks, but once that is over I plan on catching up again.  So we are still here and have some fun posts to catch up on in the next few weeks.
