Santa!

I know I just posted. It's a miracle. Scott is being a good little student and studying and I don't want to distract him by turning on the TV but I still want to be near him so I have to find stuff to do... so why not update the blog again! DaNae sent me the pictures with Santa so I decided those would be great to post. These were taken Thanksgiving day. Adam isn't really sure what to think in this one but he can have fun with Santa and his present. He got some cars. And this picture is more like the ones you usually see with young kids and Santa. Sorry I couldn't get this one to switch directions... Adam had a fairly rough night after this, there were just too many people around and it was past his bedtime, but we had a great time getting to visit Santa! Here is the picture of Adam with his Great Grandparents. We were able to stop in for a visit on the way down to AZ for Christmas. It sure makes Great Grandma's day when she gets to see Adam. He was in a really cute classy outfit... and then I tried to take him out of his car seat and noticed that poop was dripping everywhere. So we had to hurry and changes clothes... what a nice greeting... Hi, haven't seen you in months, but let me just hurry past you onto a cleanable surface to clean up a major blowup. Oh well Great Grandparents don't seem to care too much.

I've gotten a few other great pictures since my last post. Adam has been really good with the Christmas tree. I didn't put ornaments on the bottom so they would be out of reach and he hasn't been too interested in the tree. Mostly he likes to crawl around the tree and try to pick up some presents by the bows. I did look over and find this yesterday, Dec 10. It's the best Christmas Present Ever!!!At my parent's house yesterday Adam was crawling around and playing. He found the bells on the door and had fun ringing those. Then he found the gel things attached to the window and they were just out of reach. He tried so hard, standing on his tip toes to get that down. He was even getting the bottom unstuck, but it just wasn't enough for it to come off. He only gave up when we moved it and then he was so mad at us. We were just putting it on another door where it was a little lower and he was so mad until we took him to the new door. Then he worked on it until he got it off and started to eat it. I have one determined little boy.Adam sure loves his Daddy when he comes home. When Scott got home from class this morning Adam was so excited. He was eating his breakfast, but once I put him down he made a beeline for his Daddy. Once I put him down I walked into the other room and Adam usually follows me...but not when Daddy's around, He just wants to be by Daddy. Another amazing thing about this picture is that he is sitting still in Scott's lap. That never happens, we have one active little boy and unless he has a bottle in his hands it is almost impossible to get him to stay in one place.

Time Flys- He Walks

I can't believe that we are so far into December. Time has flown by so fast. Scott is up late studying and I am trying to stay awake for moral support so I decided to update my blog. I have been meaning to do this for awhile and have been having some troubles getting the pictures from the phone onto the computer (really I've been a little lazy too). I finally figured that out and now I am ready to fill you in on our very exciting lives with our cute little boy. So now you get an overload of pictures.
Oct 28. Adam playing under the table. He would just have so much fun crawling around and standing under there. He fit perfectly.Oct 30. Last year Dan and Betsy found this Zebra costume on clearance. This little guy sure made a cute zebra. We went to our church Trunk or Treat that they have to have indoors cause it was pouring. Adam had fun getting some candy, he loved the little bit of chocolate and suckers that I let him nibble. After the party we went Trick or Treating to Grandma and Grandpas. On Halloween we had a fun party with the Nix cousins and then got to play with Greg, Rachel, and Olivia. At the party with the Nix cousins Adam started to take some stutter steps in a row, not really cruising or anything but it was getting close.Nov 1. This was how I found our little guy asleep. He just couldn't stay inside the crib.Nov 4. We have a little monkey on our hands. He does not like to stay still and he wants to explore everywhere. This picture is blurry because I couldn't get to him fast enough. That happens a lot... we could have a lot more cute pictures if he would stay still... and if he didn't want to eat my phone every time he sees it.Nov 5. The next day he tried again and this time I got the picture. That hole usually has a blue box in it where we keep his toys, he has two of those toy boxes now and his toy collection will only grow with Christmas I'm sure. We may have to keep some of these in his room.Nov 8. This little boy sure loves his Daddy.I just love it when Adam tries to peak over the side and see what we are doing!Nov 15. Playing with the carpet. He managed to hide his toy under it and find it again.Nov 17. Playing on the playground. Adam and I joined Daddy on a business trip to Cedar City/St. George. While Daddy was in a meeting Adam and I found a near by playground and had fun crawling around for a few minutes. The swings were pretty cool too!Nov 22. Looking over the balcony at the BYU Museum of Art. Aunt DaNae was visiting before we left for Thanksgiving in AZ and she wanted a piece of their chocolate cake. We drove down there to eat and visit some friends only to find they switched bakeries and no longer have the chocolate cake. We enjoyed some cheesecake instead and Adam had fun playing around BYU and having everyone think he is so cute. He did not want to stay in the stroller so I let him out to play a bit.Nov 25. Thanksgiving! Enjoying time with Daddy after a yummy dinner at Brian and Meija's in AZ. We had a fun visit with the family. It was wonderful to be able to see Roman and Amelia get baptized. I just realized I need to do much better with the camera... I don't have any pictures from the baptism or from our dinner at the Rain Forest Cafe and the night in Vegas on our way down to AZ...Nov 28. Driving home from AZ, well really from Vegas. The weather was horrible for the drive and we were just grateful to make it home safe. Dec 4. Grandma gave us tons of VHS movies to bring home from AZ and I got them all organized into boxes where we can see the titles. Right now they are stored in our bedroom since we have a VCR in there and they will be mostly out of the way. The other day I walked into our room to check on Adam. He had pushed open the door to our room and found the VHS and climbed on top of them. Dec 7. We were playing at Grandma's on Tuesday night and Adam decided to have some fun. I got some toys out for him to play with and he was being good and letting me eat my dinner. The toys go on these selves so they were empty. He has always loved to play with these shelves but while we were eating dinner he managed to pull himself up and the shelves and turn around to start playing all by himself. We have a little monkey on our hands. When Grandma was coming back up the stairs she started to play with Adam through the railing. He was having so much fun finding Grandma! And giving her kisses!
Adam has been walking very well now for awhile. He really figured it out in the week before he turned 8 months. He was walking pretty good before we left on our trip for AZ on the 23. Now he will just go anywhere and follow us around like crazy. Now I feel like I need to be keeping a better record... I feel like I've forgotten so much.
Adam gets so excited when Daddy comes home. He always looks around at new sounds but gets a little scared in big groups, especially when he's tired. When we went to the Rain Forest Cafe in Vegas they came to sing to DaNae for her birthday and as they started to make noise to get people's attention Adam just burst into tears.
We got to visit with Santa at a friend's house on Thanksgiving night and there were so many kids there and Adam was so tired that it didn't go so well. He was pretty good for Santa... I will have to get those pictures from DaNae but when friends wanted to hold him he wanted none of that. He sure does love his Mommy when there are lots of people around.
Adam has been pretty good about our Christmas tree. I didn't put ornaments on the bottom part of the tree and he hasn't really been interested in the tree at all. I did wrap some presents and put them under the tree and he was very interested in those. Some of them had bows on them and he would grab onto the bow and walk around the room with the present. I ended up putting the presents in some of the Christmas popcorn tins from years past. Those are the main decorations under or tree this year and those are OK for Adam to play with.
Today I was sitting in the bean bag on the floor in front of the coach and Adam decide to climb on me and use me to get up onto the couch. Once he got up there I turned around to look at him and he just smiled at me and almost gave me an evil laugh... it was so cute. He then proceed to crawl from one side of the couch to the other and stand up and mostly just have a great time.
Adam is really loving his baths, except the washing of the hair. He just doesn't like to lay down or lean back in the bathtub or on a changing table(but he is ok with the floor). Today he was having a grand old time and I am starting to get wetter and wetter with each bath as he splashes around. I think he is really going to enjoy swimming next summer.
Well I think that is most of my Adam stories at least for now. Scott and I are doing good. We can't wait for the semester to be over. There is one class that is really giving Scott a hard time and that will be over Monday for good or bad. It will be nice to have a break from school for a little bit over the holidays. Scott is still very busy with school and work and I am loving staying at home. I am getting ready for the tax season to start and plan to work one day a week. We will see how that works and if I can stand being away from Adam.

Pictures of Adam - Time to try and catch up

So I've been a bit of a slacker... Scott uses the computer a lot for work, at least that is my excuse. For this post I'm gonna follow the pictures. We will see how long that takes, maybe I'll even get to tell you a little about how we are doing! Starting with the most recent!
Oct 27 Out to dinner with parents and grandparents! Mommy thinks I'm cute when someone holds my bottle up.... I remind her of a goat drinking a bottle at a petting zoo.
Oct 24. I fell asleep with my bottle watching Sunday football. Mom says my uncles would so that every week when she was growing up and she loved it cause it meant she got a chance to watch TV besides football... but now she chooses football!
Oct 21. Halloween picture from Grandma Pete, I got a book, movie, candy, PJs and much more! My favorite is the box it all came in I love my Grandma!
Oct 18. Mommy thinks it cute that I always suck my fingers like this, just like my cousin Jared. The thumb isn't good enough for more... I just want to say I love you in sign language
Oct 14. I am starting to grow out of my car seat. I can still use it in the car, but I don't like taking a nap in it anymore. Mom misses when she could put me in it and put the cover over me and I would just fall asleep. Now if the cover is on I cry and try to peek my way out.
Oct 13. My first ride in a shopping cart and not in my car seat! I'm getting so big!
Oct 13. playing in my room! I love my fire truck. Now I use it to walk around the living room!
Oct 12. I had tons of fun helping mom open her birthday presents. Boxes are so fun to play with.
Oct 11. I'll help with the laundry Mom! I can eat, I mean fold clothes!
Oct 10. Happy Birthday Mom! Dad and I brought you your presents to open in bed and I want to help!
This looks yummy mommy! I'll help you eat it
Open the present
Oct 6. My rocking horse from Grandma! I'm getting big enough to play with my toys
Oct 6. Playing with cousins. Mom was watching Landon and Tanner and Tanner and I kept getting out bottles mixed up to mommy had to keep a close eye on us. The best was when we were both eating at the same time, with legs up in the air!
I have gotten better and better at standing up by myself. Here I used my Bumbo to pull myself up and then stood up and stayed up all by myself.
Oct 4. So mom left me in the living room for a few minutes and when she came back this is what she found. I just sat there looking out the window!
Oct 1.
Sept 30. Mom was trying to get a picture of me standing when I still wasn't very steady on my feet so she had to be quick! I'll gotten alot better in the last month.
Sept 28...My first time helping with the dishes... I do that a lot now.
Sept 24. Smiley boy!
Sept 23. I came home from Relief Society and found this. It is rare for Adam to stay still for very long so this was a special moment of Adam cuddling with Daddy!
Sept 23. I like my train.
Sept 22. I can hold my own bottle.
So on Sept 22 Scott got in an accident on his way to work. Everyone was OK, but our car was totaled. Since then we have bought a Hyundai Elentra and we love it so far. This is our car...
This is the other car... my question... how is that the same accident? We were just happy to have good insurance and that everyone was OK.
Sept 17. Using my swing to stand up.
Sept 16. Playing in my room.
Sept 15. The family after our dinner celebrating Michelle's life!
Sept 15. Riding in my stroller! I'm a big boy and can sit up in it!
Ok so Adam is now 7 months and 4 days old. He can stand up all by himself and will walk with something attached. He loves to use his fire truck to go across the living room and will use his bumbo to walk around the kitchen. He isn't too sure about trying to take steps without holding onto stuff, but he is getting close to trying. He has found out how to open the bottom drawer in the kitchen and he loves to play with the towels that I keep in there. He is still a bit on the small side. I am about to put away his 0-3 month clothes, he could still wear most of them, but they are summer clothes. He can also kind of fit into the 6-9 months close, they are just a little big:) He loves to crawl and follow Mom and Dad down the hall and into whatever room they go into. He has the biggest laugh! It is great to tickle him and make him laugh. He is a great little eater and lets you know when its time to eat! I have been making most of our own baby food since it is so much cheaper and way easier than I ever thought possible. He still doesn't have any teeth but I'm sure those will come. I can't believe how fast this year has gone by. We love our little boy and are grateful for every minute, well almost, with him. We aren't sure what we did before he joined our family!
