The Very Hungry Caterpillar Birthday Party

So this is a bit in the wrong order... but I am on my mom's computer right now and she has some pictures of Adam's birthday party that I don't have. I will add some more pictures that we have taken in the past month or so soon! And there will be more pictures to add from birthday week. I can't believe that my little guy in almost 1! Adam needed a haircut and a certain balloon kept him fairly still while I cut it. This was a few days before his party.Getting ready for the party

We decided to have a family birthday party for Adam with a theme of the Very Hungry Caterpillar. We had two cakes since it was my Dad's birthday too. My mom made this one, but we made the caterpillar together. We started the party by reading the book. Then all the kids became caterpillars and found lots of food to eat through. Then we all wrapped up in our cocoons to become beautiful butterflies. Adam decided to run away in his cocoon. He is getting really good on the stairs, until he forgets where he is and takes a tumble...

We then were able to have some fun music time. I thought that the things that Adam likes are to climb everywhere and to dance to music... so we tried to incorporate that into the party. We then had a very yummy dinner followed by cake and ice creamWe put an old outfit on Adam and let him go hog wild There was cake and green frosting everywhereThen we got to open presents. Adam got some really fun toys! This little boy just loves bananas. He saw one and had to have it at the end of his party. He takes a huge bite and just looks like a chipmunk storing food for the winter while he eats it.

He's looking more like Scott! Happy Birthday Adam - that was a great idea for the cakes!
