Toy Town

While in Arizona Grandma and Grandpa really spoiled us.  It was right after my birthday so they spent a lot of time pampering me.  We also had a fun day devoted to Adam.  Grandma found a little play place perfect for Adam.  They had a toy town with cars and grocery store as well as other toys to play with.
He loved playing with the car
Making food for Grandma
Doing the shopping
Puzzles
After playing there we headed to the mall so Adam could ride the train.  That was a hit.
After riding the train we had lunch in the food court.  On the way out Adam found another train.  He does like Thomas... it may not be his favorite train, but it's a train and he can't complain.  His current favorite train is the Chugginton set, which we are watching on the Disney channel right now... we sure watch these alot right now!

Zoo and Aquarium

Grandma and Grandpa took a day off of work to take us to a zoo and aquarium combined into one.  Amelia and Roman had the day off from school and so they got to join us, along with Aunt DaNae.  Adam sure loves spending time with his family!  We got to see lots of animals and fish.  We even saw the penguins being fed!  We enjoyed the petting zoo and of course riding the train... I think that is always Adam's favorite part.  This boy sure loves things with wheels

Why would he want to sit with mom when there are cousins around

They had feed you could buy to give to the giraffe.  Adam sure liked having Grandma give it to them

Checking out the goats

The playground was around the petting zoo and so Adam was more interested in playing but he did check out the animals a bit.  We sure had a fun time!

Race for the cure

We decided to head into Phoenix for the race for the cure in honor of so many friends and family who have been touched by cancer.  We had fun checking out the booths and then going for a nice walk.  I was a bit emotional at times remembering my sister Michelle and thinking of Grandpa Kevin's sister Diana who wasn't feeling up to joining us for our walk.

At the Pumpkin Patch

While in Arizona in October we went to 2 different pumpkin patch/farms with the family.  We sure had lots of fun with rides and running around... well for a 2 year old all you really need is lots of room to run around.  Our first farm was on the first night in Arizona with Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt DaNae.  We rode on a little hayride to a little farm and some pumpkins.  They had a pony ride, a bounce house, and some little cars being pulled by a tractor.  Adam was in heaven... did I mention this kid likes to run around.

Our second farm was after everyone got off work one night and we were joined by Uncle Brian and cousins Roman and Amelia.  This one had some more rides and Adam sure had fun with those.  We also enjoyed watching the pig races and walking through the corn maze.

On the Hayride.

Adam loves rides... and sometimes I am good at taking pictures... but not really.  We stayed until the park was closing because Adam was enjoying these rides so much.  I think there was an airplane one too, but we couldn't ride on that one with him, so maybe thats why I didn't get a picture of it.
We love Grandma!

First Airplane Ride

In October Adam and I headed down to Arizona to spend time with Scott's family, since they don't get to spend much time with Adam.  I was very nervous to fly with him... and a bit nervous to spend a week and and half with in-laws, but it was a wonderful trip.  Adam loved the airplane and was very good and I realized that after 6 years of marriage they were as much my family as they were Scott's

Scott parked the car and walked us in.  I am always amazed at how much luggage a child requires.  They even let Scott walk us to the gate, but warned it isn't something they will usually do.  Adam was in love with the airport and had a blast walking around.
As we were boarding the flight attendant invited us to look at the cock pit and told me to get my camera ready.  We sure were lucky to get this cool picture.
We had snacks and books and toys to keep us busy on the plane and Adam did wonderful.  He enjoyed looking out the window and watching the clouds go by.
When we arrived in Phoenix grandma and grandpa were waiting for us.  They saw us off in the distance and got excited.  Once we saw them Adam took off running and couldn't wait for big hugs.
They sure had lots of fun activities planned for us while we were down there and they spoiled us rotten!  I was almost intimated to start blogging about this cause there is so much to say, but at least now it's started!  Watch out, more fun times ahead!

Visit to the Fire Station

I heard about an open house at one of the fire stations in October and I'm so glad that we decided to go.  Jessica and Tanner met up with us and the boys had tons of fun checking the place out.
The helicopter was a huge hit!  Adam loved sitting the the seat and I think we did it a hundred times.

We got popcorn and cotton candy and got to check out the trucks which were pretty cool to little boys.
Adam and Tanner having a blast

Adam didn't really like the demonstrations that they put on.  They had a big fire that they put out with water from the fire truck and Adam did not like feeling the heat from the flames.  We stayed inside the building during that part and it took some convincing to get it to come back out after it was over...but the helicopter was still there...
Little boy heaven

Another day at the zoo

One day in October we met up with Betsy, Easton, and Ellie at the zoo.  It was a beautiful day and the place wasn't too crowded.  The kids had fun climbing on all the statues and there actually being room to do so.
