Update

So Scott and I are in Utah and we are staying here. We felt that this was right for us. The reason I haven't been updating my blog is because our computer died. So until we invest in a new computer, which will be after we have jobs, I will be mostly absent from the computer world. But life is good and we are happy to be back in Utah in our place!

Boring Week

So after my parents left I ran into this "What do I do now" attitude. I almost forgot how to keep myself busy! Well I am getting back in the hang of things with going to the pool and making shopping runs so just staying in and taking a nap. We only have about 2 weeks left here... which is totally crazy! Right now we are planning on spending some time in Utah so that Scott can apply for his major and then heading down to AZ to sell there through October. There are a lot of people from our office heading down there, including the office manager so we are looking at a better run office than last year. The company still hasn't approved housing in AZ yet, so the plans may still change...

If all works out we will be excited to be in AZ for the next few months cause that is where the action seems to be. Our nephew, Roman, should have his adoption finalized while we are there and Scott's sister Lanae should be getting married to. It will be fun to be close by while all this is going on.

We got a Wii this week and have been having fun playing it. We only have the sport game that it comes with but we have been totally enjoying playing golf, bowling, and tennis. Scott's favorite is golf, and has been really fun to play with him! or sometimes I just watch him play while I lay on the couch and fall asleep!

Mom's Visit

So my parents were able to come for a visit for about a week and a half. It was so much fun having them around. They got in on Saturday and we spent the day shopping and relaxing. On Sunday after church we drove up to Williamsburg and walked around. It was fun to see the old buildings and walk around the town. We hit lots of traffic so it was a long drive.

On Monday morning we drove to the beach to take a walk. That was so fun, we ended up doing that every other day that we were in town. Monday we also went shopping and Mom and I both got some new shirts. My mom got some for me as an early birthday present. On Tuesday we got to go to the Cape Henry Lighthouse and the sight of the First Landing. It was neat to see the memorial cross that marks the spot where settlers first landed before heading up the James River and setting up the first permanent settlement in Jamestown.

Wednesday we got to go on a cruise on the river from Norfolk and go past the Naval Base and see the ships. My brother Dave asked us to get him an aircraft carrier. Mom was going to bring that home in her suitcase! :) Next to the cruise was also a museum were we got to tour an battleship. It was pretty cool... I just wish I could post my pictures.

On Thursday I drove my parents up to meet my Aunt and Uncle. My parents stayed with them for a few days while I went to Girl's Camp. I worked with crafts at camp and was able to spend most of the time in the air conditioned lodge. It was fun to make new friends and spend some time with the girls that I work with in Young Womens.

On Saturday when camp was over I drove up to DC area and joined my parents at Brian and Faye's. It was fun to spend some time with them and some of my cousins. We enjoyed talking and playing some games. On Sunday after church we had lunch and then we had to head out. Scott was by himself since he had to work all day Saturday so I was excited to get home and see him again.

The next few days we mostly just hung out. We spent more time at the beach, did some more shopping, and even did some cleaning. On the last night we went and had dinner on the beach. Mom and Scott got seafood and Dad and I got steak. It was fun to be right on the beach for that. It was a really fun visit and I was sad when it was time for my parents to head home on Wednesday. It was fun to have someone to play with while Scott is at work all day.

I had fun yesterday when my cousin and her niece came down for a quick visit. We tried to go to the beach but it was too windy... there we sand in our eyes once we hit the boardwalk, before we even got to the sand. So we just went to the pool instead. The big pool was closed so we had to just sit in the baby pool. But at least it kept us cool. We came home and got cleaned up and took a nap and then headed to the mall to shop and see a movie. We saw The Proposal. It was pretty good. There were two questionable scenes, but for the most part was good. Liese and Sammy had to leave less than 24 hours after they got here, but it was still really fun to see them.

So that is the last two weeks... i can't believe how fast time has gone by... can it really be August already? Well at least we are having fun!

Wierd but boring times!

So the last two weeks... well almost.... what have we been doing... well the exciting news is that we went to the doctor... and Scott has Mono. We found that out on Monday July 6. So since that day Scott has been inside, except to go to the doctor... 4 times. We are starting to venture out again... Scott has been going crazy in the house. He is planning to slowly start going back to work tomorrow... tonight we are going to go to the Harry Potter midnight showing!

So with Scott home all day I haven't ventured out too much. I have a few times cause I just couldn't stay in the house all day. While at home we have watched movies and played video games. Scott's sister even sent him a get well package which we loved!

So lets see for the 4th. We ended up back in Virginia Beach and got to go to the beach with some of the other couples. The girls went early. There were four of us, two with little boys. We had a picnic and played a bit. The boys made it to the beach right as the fireworks started, perfect timing. We saw a few smaller shows from close up and a bigger show from far away. There were fireworks going off all along the coast. It was cool to play in the water a little while watching the shows!

That was Scott's last day out of the house. I'm glad that he gets to start back to a normal life. It will be slow going but at least he can leave that house a bit now. My parents are coming to visit this weekend. I'm so ecited!

Happy Independence Day

I am now sitting in a hotel room near Washington DC. We are here for the weekend while the guys are selling with another office here.

So lets see... the last week or so. My cousin Liese and her friend Lise came down for a visit. We had fun going to the beach and the pool! That was pretty much what we did on Friday night once they arrived and then all day on Saturday. It was so much fun to play.

So for the next few days I get to hang out at the hotel and venture into DC. Today we went to the mall... because I forgot to pack my pants so I had to get some new ones. It is fun to have TV and Internet again even if it is for a few days. We will be staying until Sunday and driving back then.

Pictures from Busch Gardens

When we went to Busch Gardens a few weeks ago with our friends for their anniversary they took some pictures and sent them on to us. So now you get to see something. Here are the four of us in line for a ride. This is Mark and Leo.
Here are Scott and Mark trying on hats.

And then there is me and Leo
Well then Scott and I got in trouble and they put us in the stocks!

Another month gone by

Wow I can't believe how fast time is going by. Scott and I are still having lots of fun here in Virginia Beach. Lets see... what can we say.

We had fun celebrating 3 years together. We went out to dinner and enjoyed the time together. Two weeks later we went to Busch Gardens with another couple. That was really fun. The lines weren't very long and we enjoyed some fun rides. It was cloudy all day which just meant that it wasn't hot so it was perfect! The park was so pretty. We got passes since we live in Virginia... it was the same price, hopefully I can go a few times this summer with some of the other wives.

I also got the chance to meet up with Matt and Jessica when they came to DC. I drove up and met them at Mt Vernon. Then we went to visit Uncle Brian and Aunt Faye. It was fun to see them and Josh and Liese. I got to stay with Josh and Liese at their new house! The next morning Matt Jess and I went to the temple and then checked them into their hotel. We then ventured into DC. Finding parking was a nightmare but we survived and got to walk around for a bit. I wish I could post pictures, but no camera cord. One of the wives let me borrow one, but it is the wrong size..... i was so excited... Well I guess in a few months there will be plenty to see!

Lets see other than that my days are full of reading, scrapebooking, cleaning, and going to the pool. I am also working with the Young Women in the ward. I should be getting ready to go to our activity tonight... which I will do in a minute. Liese is coming to visit me this weekend! Then the office is going up to the DC area for the fourth. So we should be in the capitial for Independence Day!

Well I guess that is it for now... now I just have to see if I can keep an internet connection long enough for this to post.
