Not much happening

So I'm sitting here at work again. We have gotten pretty busy... but I have a few minutes today. The last few weeks have been fun, but nothing too exciting has happened. My niece Chloe, turned 6 and we had a fun birthday PJ party for her two Sundays ago. She got Twister and we had fun playing with that... but I forgot my camera and so there are no pictures.

This last weekend we enjoyed having Scott's siter, her roommate Rebecca, and my parents over to watch the Super Bowl. We were a little upset when the Cardinals lost, especially when the refs were so stupid and seemed to be a bit one sided (Where was the review on that last fumble???), but we still had fun. Rebecca was a Steelers fan and we didn't even make her sleep outside or walk home... we were being very nice!

My brother is coming for a visit this weekend. I get to pick him up today when I get off work. I'm excited to see Dave and Evan, but really sad that Tammy and Jared won't be coming too. Jared has a bad ear infection and so they don't want to take him on the airplane. We will still have loads of fun, but they will be sorely missed.

So everyday life has involved me working and Scott going to school. This week is his midterms, he has 4 or 5 tests starting in the next two days and going until middle of next week. So he is spending a lot of time at school, staying late to study. We have found out that we will be going back to VIrginia Beach this summer and we are getting really excited. We had a lot of fun last summer! It will be nice to be near the beach and we are going to have a make a trip up to DC, we won't miss that chance this year! I think I have convinced my parents to come for a visit... anyone else is welcome to come too!

So that is about it for our not so exciting life. But even if isn't very exciting we are still loving every minute of it. We are so grateful for every minute that we get to spend together!

A New President

Well I am sitting here at work again. Things are still a bit slow since people are still waiting for there W2. We were watching the inagration on the computer, but a client just came in. And now it just started on the radio that we have on at the office. So I have mixed feelings about this. I think that this is pretty cool right after Martin Luther King Day to be swearing in a black president. I just wish it wasn't him. I am terrified that we are getting closer and closer to a socialist government. Well I guess, even McCain was more socialist than I wanted. Well I guess things will only get worse... we are living in the last days. I guess that the important thing is to just keep moving forward in hope and being as prepared as we can. It is important to find a way to happy each day and not live in fear. I have so many things that make me happy, and the number one thing is my husband!

Well the last week hasn't been too exciting. Scott has been studying and I am working. We were able to hang out in Provo on Sat and we had fun hanging out with the Borns that night. We went out to eat and watched the British Office! It was fun. I got a little sick on Sunday... a sore throat... that is gone now and I have a runny nose. I'll be glad when I have it all gone and I can just feel good again.

So that is about it for this week.... Oh Wait....

THE AZ CARDINALS ARE IN THE SUPERBOWL! Scott and I got very excited while watching the game. It has been fun to see the team that he grew up with having a Cinderella season, and I am routing for Kurt Warner because of my St. Louis roots! We are excited to watch the superbowl! We will be cheering for the Cardinals, in case you were wondering!

Slacker!

So I have totaly been a slacker at blog writing... but there hasn't been that much to write about. We left AZ the Monday after Christmas and are so excited to be settled into our home in Utah! We spent the first few days we got home organizing and cleaning our house. We still haven't done our own bedroom yet, but everything else is nice and clean! We are working hard everynight to pick up and clean the kitchen. So far it is working!

A week after we got back Scott started school and I started work. We decided that Scott is taking 16 credits and he needs to get good grades to get into his program, so he will concertrate school. He is on campus pretty much all day every day to get his school work done. But he does still find some time to spend with me at nights. I am working the front desk at H&R Block. I am at work right now! There aren't too many people that come in right now because most people don't have their W2s so I have some extra time.... that will change shortly. I know that I was very blessed to find a job so quickly and be able to start.

We are slowly getting used to the snow everywhere! It is colder here than AZ, but it hasn't been too bad. We miss Scott's family a ton, but I have enjoyed being near my mom again! Well I guess that is all from us for now. I will try to be better about posting!

Christmas Morning

I love Christmas morning... I always wake up early and can't fall back asleep because I get so excited. This year I was told that I was not allowed to wake everyone up early. So I didn't... I was up for about 20 minutes before Mom Peterson decided to wake everyone up, I was okay with that. Here are Scott and I on the stairs waiting to come down.
Here we are in front of Mom's upside down Christmas Tree.
Here is Scott with his sisters.
We had lots of fun opening presents and here we are with all we opened today. Merry Christmas to everyone! I love this time of year and we have had so much fun! We also watched Mr. Krugers Christmas, It's a Wonderful Life, and the Forgetton Carrols either last night or this morning and we have enjoyed remembering the birth of the Savior. We hope everyone has a wonderful, safe and happy day. We love you all. Merry Christmas!

Twas the Night Before Christmas!

On Christmas Eve we had the Peterson Family Christmas Party! We had tons of fun and started the night with some activities before dinner. We even found Christmas Crackers, those are favorite memories from Scott and I from England.
We had a gift exchange game and that was awesome. Kevin, Scott's stepdad, was joking as he opened his gift that he was hoping it was a right arm... and he opened a Mr Potatoe Head so he got his arm. Here he is trying it on.
We also did the nativity. Here are the wise men
and the angel
and you can't forget Mary, Joseph and the donkey. Since Dan wasn't here to play the donkey I decided that I would have to fill in for that noble role!
Next it was time to open gifts.
I was really excited for all the scrapebook stuff DaNae got me!

Wedding Bells

Congrats to Eric and Melodie!
They were married on Tuesday in the Mesa Temple. I think it was an emontional day for everyone involved. Scott and I started the day by picking up my brother Dan from the airport. We then went out to breakfast before going to Eric's house to hang out for a bit before the wedding. The ceremony was good. I felt like my sister was there. This is the women that will help to take care of her kids. I was happy and sad all at the same time. I miss Michelle alot, but I also think Melodie will be a great addition to the family!
Here is the Goodman family.
Here is the whole group... there were a lot of kids there.

We finished the day with dinner at Eric's parents house. That was really good and fun. Eric's family got them this picture of the temple! It was a good day.
